Foreign Ambassadors Complained Jakarta Congestion

Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo, held a meeting with a number of ambassadors from Asia, Europe, Africa and USA. Jokowi underlined that the meeting is just a usual meeting in a series of 2014 Diplomatic Corps Gathering event. The meeting talked about the congestion in the city.

This former of Solo Mayor promised to overcome the congestion in the capital city. Moreover, the Jakarta Provincial Government is currently improving public transportation, such as developing Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), increasing TransJakarta buses and its corridors, and developing monorail to solve the congestion in the city.

The meeting was attended by ambassadors of Australia, Greece, Japan, Singapore, Nigeria, Swiss, Belgium, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Serbia, Africa, Italy, Laos, and England.
Diplomatic Corps Gathering is an annual event held to facilitate communication and coordination between Jakarta Provincial Government with foreign country representatives and international organizations.
